Discover the Fedimint Hackathon winners

Fedi

Thank you to all who worked so hard to develop all the amazing submissions during this short period of 30 days!

The quality of the modules that were submitted was truly impressive, with projects from federated storage to community finance tools that really highlighted the potential impact of Fedimint as a platform that could solve real-world problems.

We are proud to announce that the winning project is Stability Pools, a way to offer Stable Value USD or local currency within a Fedimint!

The team “Giosue21m” who have chosen to submit anonymously, have developed a way to lock bitcoin in a Fedimint to a fixed USD value, answering Obi’s provocation and providing a bitcoin-only alternative to stablecoins. Mind blowing!

We’ve seen a huge spike in interest on the Fedimint discord server, learned some fantastic lessons about implementing modules in Fedimint, and have a lot of ideas on how to improve the experience for open source module developers.

We hope this hackathon serves as a spark to ignite the dev community's continued exploration of the protocol. The Fedi team will be reaching out to the winners over the coming weeks to coordinate sending out your rewards.

Once again, thank you to all of the participants for your hard work and for pushing the limits of what is possible with the Fedimint protocol. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this technology!
